It was during the Easter weekend, May 10, 2011 in connection with the start of planning a demolition of a boathouse out by Fodenäs, that the skull was found.

The boathouse is old, but probably rebuilt in the 60’s. According to the owner, the skull was up on a beam under the shed and there were also remnants of plastic at the site.
