Leo disappeared on July 19, 1996 while he was on a trip with his father in the Taillefer mountains. His disappearance has been linked to that of several other children in the area, collectively known as the “Disappeared of the Isère”. Between 1983 and 1996 twelve children disappeared in the region of Isère. Some children were murdered, one was attacked, but survived and others have never been found. Only three of the cases have been solved.
