UM-0017

On Saturday March 8, 2008, around midnight, the fire brigade and the Antwerp police received a call for a fire in an empty school building, located between the Ernest Claesstraat and the Carel Van Manderstraat in Antwerp Linkeroever. The school building was known as a squat and housed several people. The fire must have started just before midnight. It was not until 4:30 in the morning that the fire brigade found the remains of an unknown man on the spot. It is not known who he is and what he did in the vacant school building.

If you think you recognize this man or if you know more about the circumstances of the fire, do not hesitate to contact the police. A few minutes before the fire started, 2 young men were seen at the school building. The investigators would also like to speak them. They can be important witnesses.

A main reconstruction was made in 3D to identify the victim of the fire.
