On Saturday April 24, 2010, a lurid discovery was made in the Charleroi-Antwerp canal, near the Buda bridge along the Vilvoordsesteenweg in Neder-over-Heembeek. Around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, a floating package was found, a plastic bag, tightly closed with an orange tape, which contained the body of an unknown man. He could not yet be identified.
