On Sunday December 5, 2010, the remains of an unknown man were found in the basement of an empty building at Italiëlei 95. His body was wrapped in a tarp tied with electric wires, materials from out of the building. The body was in a state of decomposition and may have been in the basement for months or even years. There used to be a bar on the ground floor, but in recent years the building was vacant and housed homeless people and drug addicts. Investigations have shown that the victim was killed in a room on the first floor. Hail remains were found in the wall, from a firearm, and blood on the ground. The investigators are looking for the identity of this man so that the investigation can focus on the correct circumstances of the death and the detection of the perpetrator.
