
November 14, 1994, a suitcase was found in the water of Zijkanaal I (Buiksloterdijk) in Amsterdam containing the remains of a man, packed in plastic bags. Fourteen days later, on November 28, 1994, in the waters of the IJ at the M.S. van Riemsdijkweg in Amsterdam, mortal remains were found again. The body parts appear to belong to the same man.

The case was lockable with two chrome-colored locks and two straps with buckles. A piece of cloth was found in the suitcase, it is probably a piece of, presumably, a tablecloth, beige in color with a brown floral pattern.
